There’s nothing like a mind-blowing blooper in the middle of an award-winning film to get your attention. Even the most amazing movie directors and producers can miss a small mistake, after all, we are all human. Although, it isn’t something you really expect from a movie that has cost millions of dollars. More than often, these mistakes are totally missed by the general public but as with everything, there is always someone looking to spot the mistakes that people make. Did you manage to notice these movie blunders?
Braveheart is a classic! When Mel Gibson screams ‘Freedom’ at the end of the film it gives us goosebumps every time. We bet you didn’t catch the man wearing a baseball cap in this scene. Now you won’t be able to watch the movie without seeing it.
Actually, in this movie, in particular, there are so many little mistakes, that as time has gone on, more and more people have spotted.
Jamie Foxx plays the leading role in the amazing movie Django Unchained. Django “Freeman”, is a slave who gets sold off and separated from his wife. He is a super cool character, and in many scenes of the movie, he can be seen wearing these trendy sunglasses.
However, the movie was set in the 1850’s, and they would not have been worn by “regular” people at this time. These sunglasses were given by doctors to people who needed them for medical reasons.
The Book Of Eli
The Book of Eli was set thirty years after a nuclear apocalypse. Its all-star cast includes Mila Kunis, Gary Oldman, and of course, Denzel Washington. There is one scene, in which we see Denzel’s character reading from a bible made with braille for the partially-sighted.
However, this was far too small for a braille filled book, it should have been a lot bigger and thicker. We still love you, Denzel.
Back To The Future
There were many bloopers in this movie, but one, in particular, was in a scene which featured Marty rocking out with his guitar. The thing is that this guitar hadn’t even been released yet.
The movie was set in 1955, but the guitar itself wasn’t actually released until three years later in 1958. Marty, you were so ahead of your time!
We bet you didn’t you spot the massive Apple mistake in the hit movie, Forrest Gump? Forrest received a letter from the company in 1975, and we get to see the letter-headed paper, excitement building with him. That is until we realize that in 1975, Apple simply didn’t exist.
The company only started trading and became a public name in 1981, and that was six years AFTER the film was set. We can’t believe it.
The most frightening scene in Independence Day, is where the Empire State building collapses, however, we will make it less scary for you. Check out the streets in between, they are not real streets and the Empire State doesn’t sit in between them, as it is shown in the film.
The setting is completely different from what it looks like in real life. This is one of those blunders that only a few people have ever noticed after there aren’t that many people who are walking around the city looking up, despite the amazing skyscrapers.
This scene was really terrible if we recall. Bradley Cooper the hunk is holding his baby, but it is so obviously a doll. Using real kids cost the production team a lot of money, and so in order to save a few bucks, they opted for a plastic doll.
We give him credit for trying his best to make it seem real, but it was a big fat flop. He even tried as you can see from the picture, moving the baby’s hand with his thumb to make it seem like a real-life baby, but nothing was gonna make that happen, sorry Brad.
Rumble In The Bronx
Jackie Chan is always a gung ho master in whatever movie he stars in. Do you remember in this film that Chan’s character wears a white sock?
Well, we bet you didn’t know that it was worn in order to hide a plaster cast because, whilst doing one of his own stunts, he seriously injured himself. He really got stuck into the role.
Robert Downey Jr. and Halle Berry star in this together. During shooting, both actors were shooting a struggle scene, but Downey Jr accidentally got a bit too heavy-handed and actually broke her arm in real life.
She put it down to a “freak accident”, and said that the two had remained friends since the incident, but we’re sure she didn’t appreciate the eight weeks it took to heal.
The movie is set in the 1300s and follows William Wallace fighting the First War of Scottish Independence against the King of England, Edward I. In the artwork for the movie, Mel Gibson is seen wearing a kilt, something the 13th-century warrior is often wearing throughout the film.
However one large mistake to note, the kilt itself wasn’t invented until much later in the 16th century.
Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets
The Harry Potter series of films are extremely popular and have become a favorite worldwide. Yet the bloopers in the films are quite big. Here you can see in this picture the cameraman filming.
He doesn’t even look like a student and doesn’t blend into the background. We won’t be able to get that out of our sight now when we watch the film.
Troy had Brad Pitt starring in it, which automatically made people go and see it. It was the highest-grossing film of 2004, the year in which it was released. The film attracted a huge amount of fans and will for sure go down in history as one of the greatest movies of all time.
For the biggest film of the year, you would have thought that someone might have noticed this very modern plane flying in the background of a very not-modern Brad Pitt in full ancient warrior costume.
When working with mirrors and cameras, there’s always a risk that someone somewhere is going to pop on the screen. However, with The Matrix, it was such an obvious blooper that we can’t believe it was ever let into the final cutting of the film.
Keanu Reeves and Lawrence Fishburne can be seen in the door handle reflection, but you can also very clearly see the cameraman too. Well, they did try to camouflage him in all-black at least.
Pirates Of The Caribbean
Captain Jack Sparrow stole our hearts in the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies. Witty, gorgeous and mischievous, he played the pirate perfectly and it’s fair to say that the role wouldn’t have been the same if someones else had played it.
This blooper is hilarious, one thing we didn’t think we could say about this crazy pirate was that he loved the Adidas brand. As far as movie bloopers go, you would think that the costume department would check labels before even dressing the characters.
You would think that by now, movies would know how to film scenes in the mirror. But in this scene in Spy Kids, you can very clearly see a cameraman trying not to be seen in the reflection of the right-hand mirror. The movie was a huge hit amongst teens back in the day, as well as adults. It was the perfect family movie.
It is so glaringly obvious, how nobody saw this when cutting the movie, we have no idea. Maybe they just decide to keep these little blunders in instead of having to shoot the scene all over again.
Played by Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool is a cheeky character, and the comical film makes fun of superhero films in a comical way. There’s one scene where he ends up in a dumpster, and he doesn’t have his swords on his back.
He climbs out of the dumpster, and the swords have mysteriously found their way back onto his back again. A few moments later, heading to his apartment and casually strolling down the street, the swords have disappeared one more time. Make up your mind, Deadpool!
This movie blooper is famous among Star Wars fans – that awkward moment that a stormtrooper hits his head on the doorframe as he tries to cooly walkthrough. This one was spotted right away and has now become something that people laugh about.
The bang was taken out of the sound, but we wonder why they didn’t reshoot the scene. It is very comical. We wonder how much pain he was in and had to keep filming.
This is another famous movie blooper – that awkward moment you leave a gas canister in full view of the camera during a chariot race, when gas canisters hadn’t been invented yet. If they had, then they probably wouldn’t have been running around in chariots with horses.
It might only be one small detail, but these are things that should be noted and they can make a huge difference to how we view the film.
Fast And The Furious 7
Too Fast too furious for a blooper? Sadly not. Let’s set the scene – there’s a house, an explosion, and people are sent flying everywhere. Of course, if this was to happen in real life, this home would have completely exploded.
Despite this, not one single window bursts, or shatters. There is not one smash. But there is an explosion, so can somebody explain how that would be possible?
Saving Private Ryan
This incredible Oscar-winning movie sadly isn’t safe from bloopers. In this scene, Captain Miller is leaning up against a motorcycle after being injured in a battle. The motorcycle here is Ural M-63.
However, this model wasn’t even released until over eighteen years after the movie was set. That is upsetting, We don’t feel the same about the film anymore do you?
Lord Of The Rings
This picture shows the scene where good old wise Gandalf is preparing for a nasty fight. On his wrist, you will notice a watch, but considering this movie was set many decades in the past, watches wouldn’t have even been invented at this time.
Not that this movie blooper would ever change our mind or anyone’s about this Blockbuster. The Lord Of The Rings films were nominated for over 30 Academy Awards, and they won an incredible 17 of them. They are known as the highest-grossing movies of all time. So we will let this one slide.
During a flashback scene in Captain Marvel, gaming fans may have noticed that Danver can be seen playing Street Fighter II: Champion Edition a famous arcade game at the time.
Danver actually left earth in 1989 however eagle-eyed people noted that the game wasn’t even released until the year 1992.
So you know they say it’s common courtesy not to pass gas in an elevator, plane, or tight space. We don’t think Dustin Hoffman got the memo. Apparently, the story goes that when the actors were filming the scene where they are stuck in a phone box together, an awkward moment happened.
According to reports, Dustin Hoffman farted in the phone box for his co-star to enjoy the hot box effect. We wonder how that went down with Tom.
