We all know how important sleep is, but do you ever feel like you have no time to do all the things you need to do? Well, we do to and apparently joining the 5 am club is the answer. So what is it, and what can it do for us?
Created by Robin Sharma, the 5 am club will give you time to give time to yourself. Get it? The concept goes like this –
- Wake up at 5 am (we know right, you couldn’t think of anything worse, but keep reading)
- Do 20 minutes of exercise
- Take 20 minutes to plan your day
- Study or read for another 20 minutes
If there is something that needs to be moved around to make it more suitable for you, then go ahead; after all, this is about you. For example, some people like to take 10 minutes from planning and add it to their reading or exercise time.
If there is something you really want to do, from learning a new language to just having time to drink your tea in peace, the 5 am club could really be the answer. Now, we’re not saying that this is going to be easy for you straight away, it’s not, it will be hard and something your body needs to get used to, but once it does, you will feel as though you have so much extra time in your day.
An important thing to remember if you want an extra hour or two a day, then you’re probably going to have to go to bed earlier. By day 4, you should start to wake up, more quickly, and you can fully embrace your power hour or two.
