Deliciously Decadent Vegan Treat: Raw Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Just because it’s January and we are trying to be healthy, doesn’t mean that we can’t indulge in sweet treats. This recipe for one of our favorites is a healthy spin, using only raw ingredients and absolutely no refined sugar. These amazing peanut butter cups will fill every spot, and they are totally vegan and guilt free.

1/2 cup of coconut oil (melted)
1/4 cup of raw cacao powder
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
pinch of sea salt
raw peanut butter or almond butter


Mix the coconut oil, cacao powder, vanilla, maple syrup, and sea salt together in a bowl to make the raw chocolate.

Then pour a small amount of chocolate (1-2 teaspoons) into each cupcake case to create the bottom.

Next place in the freezer for 5 minutes until completely firm.

Heat the nut butter with a dollop of honey/maple syrup until runny.

Place a small dollop of peanut/almond butter onto the center of each cup. Place in the freezer for another 5 mins.

Add more raw chocolate to each cup until it is filled to the top. place back in the freezer for another 5-10 minutes until solid.

Enjoy- and try not to eat all at once, it is hard!
