London’s Most Relaxing Co-Working Space Yet


Mortimer House, features a rooftop terrace, hammocks, healthy restaurant and a pilates studio. It might just be London’s healthiest co-working space yet.

Start-ups and members can enjoy “work, rest and play” shared office space with a meditation room, pilates studio, gym and bar, in Fitzrovia. It is set to open its doors in three weeks time. The meditation room is described as “an essential breathing space for quiet contemplation and relaxation”.

Many private members’ clubs have effectively become shared work spaces in recent years as wifi allows entrepreneurs to start businesses without having to rent an office.By combining the best of private members’ clubs such as Soho House with co-working spaces like We Work, it could be the best London has to offer yet. It appreciates the need for self-care and wellness in order to refresh after a hard day at work.

The seven-story art deco building has been converted by hotelier Guy Ivesha, who previously worked for the operator of the Park Plaza hotel chain which had the former County Hall building as its flagship.


Fees start from £100 a month for a “social” membership allowing access to communal facilities out of office hours, to £5,600 a month for a dedicated office and unlimited access, plus room service.

Non members will be allowed access to the restaurant which will serve Mediterranean fare with a Middle
Eastern twist.
