A Lamborghini epitomises the ultimate in luxury sports car, and if you own one of these bad boys, it is safe to say you have made it to the top of the ladder. Lamborghini has just released the most luxurious Android smartphone to match its cars: The Alpha- One. With all the hype, we wonder if it is all it is cracked up to be.
The luxury phone is embossed with the finest Italian handmade black leather, and a frame made from the same ‘stronger than titanium liquid metal’ used to build its superstar status sports cars. The phone also features the Tonino Lamborghini Raging Bull logo, which symbolises ‘strength, courage, determination and boldness.’ Owning this phone is certainly a status symbol, just like the car, but what else do you get for your money?
The Alpha – One smartphone comes with an accompanying black leather case, but is it worth its hefty price tag at $2,450? Lamborghini claims that the groundbreaking new features are ‘the most luxurious technology’, but the question is, what does this phone have that other high-end smart phones don’t have?
For the money, you get 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage, a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 5.5-inch HD display. The Alpha – One however, does not include facial recognition or cable-less charging – features that come with the Samsung Galaxy S8, as well as rumoured perks of the soon to be released iPhone 8.
So what’s the consensus? Well, it looks suave, sophisticated, sexy and sleek, and it definitely exudes status, but we are not sure we are ready to make such a commitment.
