November feels like an interim time to travel. The holiday season is around the corner with breaks for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. Yet the smart savvy travelers know that there are an abundance of great deals to take advantage of around this time — and, you’ll find the heat in some of the world’s most beautiful destinations.

The Caribbean is a great choice this time of the year. Most of the resorts have reopened for the season and are preparing for the influx of many guests during the holidays. So right now, there are rooms to spare and crowd-free sandy white beaches, where you will have space all to yourself to unwind and even detox before the craziness of Christmas.

America’s south is another great November destination — Nashville Tennessee and Asheville North Carolina are relatively warm in November, and offer a plethora of things to do and see. In both places, you’ll find exciting art, great museums, and restaurants well worth the trip, and the beautiful blue ridge mountains with Fall colors that will blow your mind.

If a nice, long break is what you need, head to India’s Andaman Islands, where November is the best time of year to soak your toes in the sand of its sparkling beaches.

Andaman Islands, India

If you are in need of a real getaway, start planning your vacay to the Andaman Islands, off the coast of India. It is extremely accessible via an internal flight through most of the major Indian cities. It is famous for, wait for it… one of the few places to spot swimming elephants yes you read right! AND it’s home to some of Asia’s most stunning stretches of sand. Prices in November are very affordable, and now is the best time to go, before the high season starts, when the weather is perfect.

Atacama Desert, Chile

A trip to Chile is truly worthwhile with  a visit to the Atacama Desert. The beauty of the vast space is ideal for star-gazing, and is home to several top notch hotels such as the Awasi Atacama. You’ll need at least three days to explore the area. Make sure you take a horseback riding trip through the mountains. The day hike to the incredible Torres Del Paine summit is something you will never forget.
