How To Workout On A Budget

It’s January, we are all broke, bloated and got the post xmas blues. If you can’t afford to join a gym, fear not, here is how to shred this month from the comfort of your own home.

Resistance bands:

Resistance bands are cheap (ranging from $7 to $20),  and are so useful for working every muscle in the body.

Jump ropes:

Like resistance bands, jump ropes are portable, inexpensive and provide one of the best cardio workouts.

Hand Weights:

These are great for power walking, or doing some bicep curls in the morning when you get up. Keep them near you at all times so you can do a few sets of reps each day.

Try Bodyweight Workouts:

If you’re on a budget, you don’t need any equipment to get a great workout. There are a lot of exercises that require nothing more than just your body. So crack on the tunes and get working!

For cardio, you can do jumping jacks, jogging on the spot with knees up high, side steps, power squats and anything that gets your heart rate up.

Here are a few killer kick starters:

Squats
Lunges
Pushups
Bicycle Crunches
Triceps Dips
Back extensions
