The last photo taken of these iconic stars

Throughout history, there have been certain stars that have touched our hearts, some of these were through film, music, theater, and even science. These people had the ability to light up a stage, the screen, or a stadium. They were immediately recognizable, and when they passed, the world mourned for them. These photos taken before their passing, captured them in all their glory, and have allowed us to look back at them and remember them for their greatest achievements. Marilyn Monroe made audiences laugh, in films like The Seven Year Itch, while Princess Diana, known as the People’s Princess, pulled at our heart strings with all of her charity work. Amelia Earhart

Amelia Earhart was one of the most well-known female pilots when she began her journey traversing the globe. She had been a strong advocate for women being given the opportunity to fly, and was the first female pilot to successfully fly across the Atlantic Ocean without a co-pilot.

She continues to be an inspiration for many young women, who dream of taking to the skies. When she went missing in 1937, somewhere over Oceania, the world mourned. Here she is standing on her plane, the Electra before she was reported missing.
