Sometimes a high fiber diet of cruciferous veggies (like cauliflower, broccoli or brussels sprouts) may leave us feeling bloated with a grumbly tummy. In these cases, ginger and peppermint tea can soothe our tummy’s and relieve some of our discomforts.

The tea soothes any irritation caused by high fiber foods passing through our digestive tract and this can relieve our gassy symptoms. For extreme cases where tea is not enough, you may want to try eating some papaya which contains the enzyme papain, which further aids our digestion.

Garlic may be a pungent bulb that can flavor your food, but it also has amazing antimicrobial properties that help your body fight bacteria and eases the symptoms of the common cold.

Garlic also contains a chemical called allicin which kills off bacteria and viruses and even though you may smell a bit, eating raw garlic can fight off infection and keep you healthy.
