The hugely successful series has seen many faces over the years, including some great and empowering female roles. NCIS, which stands for Naval Criminal Investigative Service see Leroy Gibbs lead a group of bright personalities who between them investigate some of the most notorious crimes. First beginning in 2003, the show has reached maximum success and today is on its 17th series, soon to be starting this September. As with all actors, they can look completely different in real life to what they do on screen.
Liza Lapira as Michelle Lee
During seasons three and four, this character was definitely aloof and mysterious. She was often seen sneaking around the NCIS team undetected in her suits.
Michelle was originally employed by the legal team for the force, but she was actually working as a spy. Frequently trying to blend into the crowd, Michelle did this by wearing plain clothing trying to be inconspicuous.
Liza Lapira in real life
Since her time on the show, Liza has had a plethora of opportunities both on the small screen and in well-known movies. She has made appearances in popular shows and movies such as Dexter and Super Fun Night.
She also appeared in Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life, Fast and Furious, and Repo Men. She is often papped on the red carpet, in beautiful dresses and is certainly glamorous when she goes out.
Jennifer Esposito as Alexandra Quinn
Alexandra’s time on the show was short but definitely sweet as she left a lasting impression on the members of her team and audiences of the show. As she was only part of the NCIS group for one season, so there wasn’t much diversity with Alexandra’s dress sense or hairstyles as she often opted for smart casual.
Her shirts were usually accompanied by her light brown mid-length hair being worn down, but she quickly exited the show when she needed to leave to take care of her mother who had developed Alzheimer’s.
Jennifer Esposito in real life
Since her exit last year, 44-year-old Jennifer decided to take her color darker as she is now seen with a dark ombre look. Her change is a noticeable difference from her time as Jenny, but we haven’t had a chance to see her back on our screens just yet.
However, that could all change soon as she is credited as one of the leads in the film Cigarette that is reportedly in the post-production phases. We look forward to seeing what direction her career takes.
