NCIS: This is what the show’s leading actress’ look like in real life

The hugely successful series has seen many faces over the years, including some great and empowering female roles. NCIS, which stands for Naval Criminal Investigative Service see Leroy Gibbs lead a group of bright personalities who between them investigate some of the most notorious crimes. First beginning in 2003, the show has reached maximum success and today is on its 17th series, soon to be starting this September. As with all actors, they can look completely different in real life to what they do on screen.

During seasons three and four, this character was definitely aloof and mysterious. She was often seen sneaking around the NCIS team undetected in her suits.

Michelle was originally employed by the legal team for the force, but she was actually working as a spy. Frequently trying to blend into the crowd, Michelle did this by wearing plain clothing trying to be inconspicuous.

Since her time on the show, Liza has had a plethora of opportunities both on the small screen and in well-known movies. She has made appearances in popular shows and movies such as Dexter and Super Fun Night.

She also appeared in Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life, Fast and Furious, and Repo Men. She is often papped on the red carpet, in beautiful dresses and is certainly glamorous when she goes out.

Jennifer Esposito as Alexandra Quinn

Alexandra’s time on the show was short but definitely sweet as she left a lasting impression on the members of her team and audiences of the show. As she was only part of the NCIS group for one season, so there wasn’t much diversity with Alexandra’s dress sense or hairstyles as she often opted for smart casual.

Her shirts were usually accompanied by her light brown mid-length hair being worn down, but she quickly exited the show when she needed to leave to take care of her mother who had developed Alzheimer’s.

Since her exit last year, 44-year-old Jennifer decided to take her color darker as she is now seen with a dark ombre look. Her change is a noticeable difference from her time as Jenny, but we haven’t had a chance to see her back on our screens just yet.

However, that could all change soon as she is credited as one of the leads in the film Cigarette that is reportedly in the post-production phases. We look forward to seeing what direction her career takes.

Stephanie Mello as Cynthia Sumner

She featured in 13 episodes on NCIS, as a personal secretary for a member of the U.S. Navy. Cynthia’s style was predominantly smart chic attire, mostly suits.

Her character only had a small amount of time on air, however it was clear to viewers that she had a turbulent relationship with Leroy Gibbs as he would constantly just barge into the office unannounced. Fans loved her character and she was a believable character.

It has now been over fourteen years since she appeared on the show, and since then Stephanie hasn’t left the spotlight, she has featured in over 100 television commercials, and still continues to do so.

Although she hasn’t had such a big break since NCIS, however in 2009 she worked on Big Time Rush. She still has the same hairstyle, we just love those curls.

Scottie Thompson as Dr. Jeanne Benoit

During 2006 Jeanne came onto the scene as the new girlfriend of Tony DiNozzo but, it came out later on, that her father was Rene Benoit, a renowned arms dealer.

Nevertheless, Jeanne used her good looks to charm the team. The die hard fans were patiently waiting for her to rekindle the love of Tony as the two split before her first departure from the show in 2008.

The 35-year-old actress made a comeback as Jeanne in 2015 for only two episodes,  but it delighted the fans. Aside from acting, Thompson has even appeared on the music video for a song ‘What do you got’ by Bon Jovi.

Thompson also made a debut in popular movies such as ‘Star Trek’ in 2009 as Nero’s wife, ‘Skyline’ as Elaine, and ‘The Funhouse Massacre’ as Sheriff Kate. She is focusing on other big acting projects at the moment.

Nina Foch as Mrs. Victoria Mallard

Ducky Mallard’s mother, Victoria, is introduced on the show in 2005, but only appears in two episodes.  Victoria is also accompanied by her corgis but leaves the show during 2006 when her son confesses she moved away after developing Alzheimer’s.

The reality was that his mother had passed away which is discovered after Abby follows Ducky where she uncovers that he was, in fact, visiting her grave.

Before appearing on the show, Nina starred in many black and white films, especially during the ‘40s, but continued to act until 2007. Nina led a glamorous lifestyle as she was often seen all dolled up with her smart blonde hairstyles and stylish dress sense.

In later life, Nina was still rocking the blonde look but had cut her once long hair short. Tragically, Nina passed away in 2008 at 84 years old. She will be missed and her legacy will live on through her work.

Tamara Taylor as Cassie Yates

Cassie entered the show in 2005 where she went on to appear in two episodes. She was a strong character that was working as a special agent for NCIS who wasn’t afraid of wearing her memorable red dress during her first episode.

The character mostly wore her hair tied back with her bangs down stylishly, but when she did it was a little past her shoulders. As well as her red dress, Cassie also wore the standard NCIS suit on the show.

Cote de Pablo as Agent Ziva David

Cote de Pablo is an American-Chilean actress who played the role of ex-Mossad operative turned NCIS agent Ziva David. Cote played the role of Ziva from the 3rd to the 11th season and the character was an integral part of the NCIS team dynamic.

In her role, Cote masterfully portrayed the dangerous tough-talking, and strong-willed Ziva and the romantic undertones between Ziva and Tony’s (played by Michael Weatherly) interactions quickly became a fan favorite. In the show, it was hinted that Ziva had been an assassin during her time in the Mossad. Cote left the series when the characters’ storyline ended but made a surprise reappearance in season 17.
