After serving six years in the US Marine Corps, Dodge returned to civilian life and couldn’t really find himself. He decided to leave his job, along with his belongings, and begin a new life in the rainforest.
He no longer had the desire to live a life filled with the stresses of society, so he found his new haven in nature, where he is isolated from the daily grind of jobs and monetary possessions.
