We all notice when a word isn’t spelled correctly but there is something that can make spelling matter a whole lot less and that is spacing between letters. A word can be spelled perfectly but if there is a giant gap between letters right in the middle of it this makes the reader think there are two words. There is actually a name for this spacing believe it or not, and it is called ‘kerning.’ If the spaces are uneven between letters than kerning has definitely not been done correctly which is why all documents need to be proofread. You would think that a little thing like spacing would be caught before a product goes to print but these pictures are proof that kerning is not always the priority it should be.

We all assume that dogs can’t read, whether or not science has confirmed this is something else. This dog toy would definitely make you think that the embroiderer may not know how important spacing is which we have to be honest does lead to a little bit of judgment.
How hard is it to simply put the ‘D’ and the ‘G’ together? It also seems a bit strange that a toy about being silent would also make a squeaky sound. It’s impossible to stay silent while munching on this. Hopefully whoever is in charge of this design realized their mistake before the next batch was produced.
