Books are valuable in their literal form if they are old, but are far more enriching in knowledge thanks to the words on the pages inside. However, there are moments when books hold much more than meets the eye. Sometimes, people do crazy things with books, like hollow them out and use them as a secret storage unit for items that they want to hide from others for one reason or another. This was just the case with the book we are talking about. A volunteer who worked at a second-hand book sale found a book that she liked and opened it up, only to find the pages completely hollowed out and replaced with a treasure she never imagined to find. For her, this book was going to be something that will enrich her mind, nothing more than that. However, she was totally unprepared to find the literal enriching tool that is money! What this volunteer found was also not a small amount, what she ended up doing as a result threw everyone for a loop.
There is a long list of nonprofit organizations who work with secondhand items that are donated for the purpose of providing those with fewer funds the ability to own something they otherwise would not be able to afford. One of the most popular items is books.
The nonprofit we are focusing on is called Volunteer Nonprofit Service Association. This organization is located in Phoenix, Arizona and specialize in books as their main donation product.
