It’s finally the weekend and nothing celebrates the joys of work-free days like a lazy and languid brunch. Forget calorie counting and watching your weight, you deserve a treat! Here is a recipe for our favorite all American pancakes to get you into that delicious weekend mood.
1 and a half cups of all-purpose flour
1 and a quarter cups of full-fat milk
3 tablespoons butter
3 and a half teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 teaspoon salt
1: In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
2: Make a well in the middle of your dry ingredients and pour in the milk, egg, vanilla essence and melted butter. Mix with a spatula until smooth.
3: Heat a large griddle pan and use about a quarter cup of the mixture for each pancake. Brown on either side and serve.
We suggest you get creative with your toppings! Experiment with golden syrup, raspberries and blueberries, chocolate chips and peanut butter or banana and pecan nuts!
